Brand Conversations

In this film Carlos Mandelbaum discusses the movement
in marketing from creating ads and TV spots to creating
conversations about brands.

  1. This is art. Will you please sign my video. I know it will be worth big bucks one day.

  2. I think you're seriously underestimating the power of spoken word. It does still exist. Hell, spend a day in an office full of gabbing office women and you'll hear brand conversations. Really monitor yourself, your family and your friends and you'll see that you're having them, too.

It's on websites, too, if you know where and how to look. A link? Brand. A twitpic? Brand. A posted article? Brand. And so on. For instance: goold 'ole Buddy "Friendly" posted your video on AdGabber, I saw it and googled you. Brand.

It's also a bit more specific per brand and or category. You say you went to a photography site and did not see it? Was nobody discussing Canon vs. Nikon or Hasselblad vs. Mamiya. Ilford film vs. Kodak? Surely people had links to their personal sites and or links to new releases of camera gear? They do on the photo sites that I go to.

Who knows? Love the ideas, Carlos. Keep 'em coming.
